HI, I'M LAUREN!
I'm the founder of Mindful in Love and also a Certified Yoga Instructor, life long student, and Cat Mom, residing on Algonquin Anishinaabe territory (otherwise known as Ottawa, Ontario). I've been practicing yoga, mindfulness, and meditation consistently since 2016 and have been teaching since 2019.
These practices have helped me to manage Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPSTD) and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) which impact my relationships and interactions.
Prior to practicing, I found it difficult to relax or "be myself" around others. I would worry about what to say, how to say it, and then ruminate for hours on what I could have said differently. Interactions of any kind would result in experiences of severe anxiety and impacts on my day to day activities.
This changed in 2016 when I started to integrate wellness into my life. I began to separate myself from all the different thoughts, feelings, and sensations I was experiencing. I became more relaxed and present in conversations and was able to hold more space for myself and others. Over time, I started to approach my relationships and interactions from a place of clarity and compassion, instead of judgement and fear.
I am so honoured to share with you what I have learned so far from years of practice and am looking forward to supporting you on your journey.
My mission in life is to guide you towards a state of awareness that helps to deepen the relationship you have with yourself and others. My hope is to empower others to unlock their inner wisdom and share it with others to make the world a better and more loving place.
